Lauren, today Mommy and Daddy celebrated our 5 year anniversary! We’ve been together for 5 years and I can’t tell you how excited we both are. With you in our lives, we couldn’t have asked for a greater gift. Sure, you make stinky diapers, you spit up half of what we feed you, and you always require me to walk you around the kitchen, but Lauren, you are seriously the cutest baby EVER! Mommy and Daddy have been through alot these past 5 years. It’s not only a celebration of 5 years today, but this is also the first day that Daddy got Mommy REAL roses. Mommy has never needed or asked for roses, and in the past I’ve never really been “well-off” financially, so I would often make things for her. One time, out of construction paper, I made a bunch of paper roses for her. Another time I made a duct tape rose. This year, it was time to do things different. Amanda is too special and unique to go with the regular red roses, that’s why I went with the assorted colored roses, because they’re different and special, just like your Mommy. We didn’t do anything too extravagant, because we still have you to take care of, but I was able to at least surprise Mommy with those roses and that’s all we really needed.
