6 Month Baby

Happy Six Month Birthday, Lauren. Your birthday was actually a few days ago, but we’re updating your website today because you had your 6 month checkup with your pediatrician today. Oh, boy did we have a lot to tell him! We told him about you getting bronchinits, going to Urgent Care, getting amoxicilin, learning you’re allergic to amoxicilin by getting a full-body rash, going to another Urgent Care, and getting predizone and benedryl. We’re going to try and stay away from Urgent Care from now on. As for the visit, you’re doing great! You’re in the 50th percentile for both length and weight! You weighed in at 15 pounds and 5 ounces, while measuring to exactly 26″ long. You got your immunization shots, they weren’t too fun for you at all.

I updated your About Page, your Growth Page, and your Milestones Page. Tomorrow you, Mommy and Daddy are having breakfast with your friend, Lyla, and her parents. We’re going to Joe’s Farm Grill to eat their YUMMY waffles! Daddy can’t wait to have them again. 🙂

Mommy and Daddy are doing good with losing weight. We’re both watching our calories and using an app called My Fitness Pal on our Android phones to track our intake and weight. We also got a new scale at Walmart today…since Daddy broke the old one. DON’T LAUGH! I’m not THAT fat. I’m only 163 pounds, but I’d like to lose my belly fat. Mommy and Daddy want to set good examples of healthy living to you and the best way to do that, is for us to eat and exercise.

In 2 days we’re going to be visiting Church on Mill for Easter Sunday! This is going to be your first church experience. It’s going to be a triple special day for you: You’ll be going to church for the first time, you’ll be going to the church that Mommy and Daddy got married at, and you’ll be going to church on the day Jesus died for our sins. We’re going to get dressed up and see all of our friends at Church on Mill and let everyone there see you too, since most of them haven’t seen you since Halloween.

Love, Dad
