Hospital Visit #1

Well, Lauren, unfortunately last night around 6pm Mommy started feeling lower abdominal soreness. After sleeping and a bath this morning, she’s still not feeling much better…so we’re at the doctor’s office right now to see what’s going on. We’re thinking it may be your head, since we found out a week ago at our last visit that you’re already head down. Great job! Anyway, the doctor is going to see what’s going on.  I love you and how you’re doing well!!!

Baby Lauren, well, you’re giving us quite a scare today. We went to the doctor’s office this morning, ran a test on you and Mommy, and a few hours ago, we got the test results back. Unfortunately the results were not good. The doctor suggested we get checked in at our maternity hospital nearby.
Right now we’re checked in. Mommy is laying down in a hospital bed with a machine monitoring your heart rate. You sure do wiggle around in there. 🙂 They’re going to monitor you and Mommy for a few hours to make sure the test results we got don’t lead to any complications.
We both love you very much and can’t wait til we can know you are okay.

No worries, Lauren. You’re okay. We were at the hospital for about an hour with a machine monitoring your heart rate. You did fine. While we tested positive on the fFN test, it was a misread result and we had to go to the hospital just to confirm. While at the hospital, we were definitely praying for you, and so was Nana Tina and Grandma Linden. After an hour of monitoring your heart rate, they concluded everything was okay and they let us go home.
We’re all glad you’re okay and not here yet. While we can’t wait for you to be here, we’d rather wait a couple more months for you to continue to grow and be super healthy.
As for Mommy’s lower tummy pain, she has an infection and we’re at Walmart right now getting her prescription filled. We love you so much and are glad you’re still doing well. Just to show you how funny Mommy and Daddy are, I’ll post a picture we took while trying to find an exit in the hospital. We found a vending machine and took a picture next to it.  Love you!

PS: I’m also going to post a couple of pictures I took while hanging out at Walmart waiting for the pharmacy to open.
