Papa Baby

This past weekend Mommy, you and I drove all the way down to Papa’s house.  He lives down south by Tuscon.  You did pretty good all by yourself in the back seat both to and from during the 3 hour trip each way.  We left early in the morning around 6am on Friday morning so that we could take advantage of the likihood of you falling back asleep.  You made it all the way to the half-way mark, Picacho Peak.  There, we stopped for a bathroom break, changed your diaper, and fed you a bottle.  It was FREEZING.  Mommy and Daddy shivered in the 40 degree cold that morning during the stop.  We gathered everything up and got back on the highway.

Around 30-50 miles from our destination we lost GPS signal on Daddy’s phone.  That made it a little difficult to determine our turns, but we managed.  When we got to Papa’s house you were all smiles.  We got everything unloaded and setup inside the house and then we got the FULL tour.  We put you in our backpack carrier and Papa showed us around his lot.  You saw doggies, a cat, all the projects that Papa is working on, and CHICKENS.  You got to see real chickens for the first time here.

Following the tour, you discovered Papa’s GIANT TV and fell in love.  Lauren, you seriously LOVE TV.  I know you love our 27″ TV but when you saw the amazing colors blasting off of his +50″ TV your eyes grew 3 times.  We should get a bigger TV for you sometime now that we know how you react to large TVs.  Maybe we’ll take you to Best Buy and show you their TVs.

You and Papa had a fun time together.  He held you lots and you both had a great bonding time during dinner that night when you stared into his eyes and blew bubbles with your mouth while he made funny sounds at you.  We tried to get you to laugh, but we haven’t been able to get you to laugh since they day we made the post about you laughing.

The following morning Papa made us yummy pancakes and you watched us in your bouncer on the dinner table.  You stayed happy most of the entire trip because you are the happiest baby ever.  We all love you SO MUCH, Lauren.  We’ll go back and see Papa soon now that we have a great car that can withstand the trip and keep us all safe.

Mommy, Papa, and Daddy love you, Lauren!
