Today was your 2 month checkup with your doctor. You’ve gained another couple of pounds. You’re now at 9.5lbs and 21 1/2 inches long! Not only that, but the doctor gave you a clean bill of health (again), noticed how googly and smiley you are, and then…sent the nurse in to give you your shots. You got 2 shots and a liquid that she teased you with by squeezing little by little in your mouth while you were sucking your passy. The first shot you got, you became alert of the shot, and when the second one went in, you understood what was going on. It scared you a bit, but you calmed down after a few minutes and went back to being your smiley self.
We’re really glad you got your first set of immunization because Daddy has been sick all week. After work on Sunday I started getting a sore throat. I took Monday and Tuesday off from work for my sore throat and a fever. Wednesday I went back to work feeling fine…until my last couple of calls. I started losing my voice again during the last couple calls yet my throat felt fine. Thursday after work I went to Urgent Care and they said I have laryngitis. So I’m taking my medicine and starting to feel a little better, waiting for my voice to return.
We’re hoping that I don’t get you or Mommy sick. We both love you SO MUCH, Lauren. It’s 1:35am on Friday night and Mommy and Daddy are watching TV and on our computers while you’re sleeping like an angel. You are the greatest baby EVER!
