Pizza Night

We started a new tradition today, Friday Night Pizza Night! You, Mommy, and I went to Target and got all of our supplies. We got flour, yeast, olive oil, and of course the goods: cheese, pepperoni, and other fun ingredients.

We all went back home and Daddy started making the dough. You sat in your highchair and we sat you close the the counter so you could watch me mold and stretch the dough. Once we got the dough all mixed, we spread it out and started placing our ingredients on the dough. Our first pizza was a regular pepperoni pizza. Our second pizza, which we cooked the following night, was a cheeseburger pizza. Both pizzas were delicious and we’ll continue our tradition of Friday Night Pizza Night from here on out!

To Make the Dough:

Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (we used olive oil)
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees)

Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Mix in oil and warm water. Spread out on a large pizza pan. Top as desired.
2. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

Cheeseburger Pizza Ingredients:
Spread thin layer of mustard onto dough (to be used as sauce)
Sprinkle cooked hamburger meat
Add shredded cheddar cheese
Cook the pizza
Once cooked, add lettuce and tomato to the top
